We are excited to offer a unique and creative cultural experience. Mimi Klabon a highly talented arts educator will be leading fun art workshops that will give participants and their parents a chance to explore Ethiopian History through Art. The workshops will also have a language component so participants will have a chance to work on their Amharic through relevant vocabulary .
Mimi Klabon is currently represented by The Heart Gallery, and has shown at Barnsdall Park, SPARC and The Brewery Art Collective to name a few. She has been an arts educator in Los Angeles for over 10 years and has worked for nationally recognised organizations such as Inside Out Community Arts, LA Commons, LA Cultural Affairs Department and Los Angeles Art Commission. Mimi is an Ethiopian raised outside of Ethiopia and feels that it is important for similar youth to have an understanding and love for their culture. This is what lead to the creation of this workshop series.
We look forward to seeing you.
