Mayor Bass Extends Business Tax Filing Deadline For Businesses Impacted by Wildfires
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced that the deadline to file City business taxes has been extended for businesses directly impacted by the wildfires. The due date for those businesses impacted has been extended from February 28, 2025 to April 14, 2025.
Department of Water and Power (DWP) Customer Assistance
LADWP encourages any customer whose home or business has been damaged or destroyed as a result of the fires to call 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397). Customer service representatives can assist with stopping billing, pausing automatic bill pay and assist with other account matters.
California to provide tax relief to businesses impacted by Los Angeles wildfires
California postponed the individual tax filing deadline to October 15 for Los Angeles County taxpayers. Additionally, the state extended the January 31, 2025, sales and use tax filing deadline for Los Angeles County taxpayers until April 30 — providing critical tax relief for businesses. Governor Newsom suspended penalties and interest on late property tax payments for a year, effectively extending the state property tax deadline.

Rapid Response and Layoff Aversion Services
Rapid Response (RR) activities are designed to respond to layoffs by coordinating services to provide immediate assistance to employers and affected workers. RR activities include but are not limited to providing information and access to unemployment compensation benefits, continued health care, employment and training services (including those provided by the WorkSource and BusinessSource systems), emergency services, and other significant services.
Hollywood Production Center Support with Essential Services & Resources
Hollywood Production Center (HPC) is offering complimentary access to coworking spaces, private offices, storage units, and a host of other critical resources, including showers, a gym, Wi-Fi, and parking for displaced individuals and businesses. Fire victims in need of assistance are encouraged to reach out to Hollywood Production Center’s customer service team at 833-472-0404 or via email at Maria@HollywoodPC.com to learn more about available services and sign up for access.
LA County Business to Business Space Share
Business to Business Space Share is a free exchange portal designed to provide immediate relief to businesses, including non-profits, displaced by the winds and wildfires by connecting them to donated temporary space generously provided by other businesses and organizations throughout LA County.

GRANT Food and Beverage Workers
The California Restaurant Foundation’s Restaurants Care program is opening a temporary fund to provide emergency relief grants to food and beverage workers impacted by the Los Angeles area fires. Grants will range between $350-$1,500. Grants will be awarded based on need and available funding.

Relief Fund
The Getty-led coalition of major arts organizations and philanthropists aims to provide emergency relief for artists and arts workers in all disciplines who have lost residences, studios, archives, artworks, or livelihoods or have otherwise been impacted by the devastating Los Angeles fires.
GRANT Council District 6 Wildfire Relief Fund for Informal Service Workers
With the initial support from Councilmember Imelda Padilla (Council District 6), ICON CDC is set to deliver direct cash aid to its core clients: Street Vendors, Landscapers & Gardeners, Agricultural Workers, Construction Workers, Housekeepers, Delivery Drivers, Utility Workers, and other workers in the "Open Air Economy"- People who make their living by working outside. The grants will be awarded on a first-come, first served basis, as long as funds allow. Complete the intake form below and we will contact you as soon as possible.
